The Trust’s activities are wide and varied and change on a frequent basis.
Our Vision
To establish the Six Mile Water catchment as the best natural river environment in Northern Ireland.
The Trust’s intends to achieve its vision by: -
Lobbying government to improve legislation and funding for river restoration and supporting wildlife.
Influencing planners and the regulatory process.
Supporting and taking action on the ‘ground’ to improve the river system.
Educating and promoting the awareness of thee public including those in government and business by the use of Trust’s web page, social media, newsletters and through a range of activities including talks and promotions.
Involving people in solutions through activities, projects and initiatives.
The Trust is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee.

The Board is supported by representatives of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, MLAs, our local MP, angling clubs, RSPB, community groups and members of the public.
The Board meets once per month and all members are welcome to attend and make a contribution.
An AGM is held once per year.
The Trust’s activities and projects are not possible without human and financial resources. The Trust is grateful for members’ fees, donations and contributions from local angling clubs in particular.
Everyone associated with the Trust is a volunteer and is very grateful to members of the public who assist in a wide variety of ways.
